8 Speeds which is ideal if you are looking to use a hole saw or similar large diameters as you can slow the speed right down. 

This model doesn’t have the full pillar. It’s essentially got the capacity of a bench drill on a floor standing base as the table will not lower any further. Not exactly sure why they produced these without the full pillar as it must have been cheaper to make it with a full round pillar all the way to the base instead of half pillar half casting.
