Boxford 240 TCL CNC Lathe For Conversion, Spares or Repair

Ostia Tools offer for sale this Boxford 240 CNC Lathe for spares or repair. Ideal for a conversion to Mach 3 or similar. 

On initial testing of the machine, we found that it would struggle to connect with the computer. When it would, it would have issues with screw cutting. With it being the older model (250PCI being the current model) and not having been upgraded, we do not see it economically viable to send it back to Boxford for the upgrade. Also worth mentioning that the gas strut for the perspex guard is also faulty and would need replacement as it does not stay up. 

The machine is fitted with the 8 position ATC turret and a D1-3 3 jaw chuck with both sets of jaws. 

The turret is limited in tooling and is supplied with only the tools shown in the photos. 

230v single phase. Runs from normal household 3 pin plug. Not supplied with any software.
