Description
Ostia Tools are proud to offer for sale this clean Harrison M300 Lathe.
3 Phase
Full working order.
We have fitted this machine with new bed wipers, new headstock mat, new apron bellows, new name badge and new coolant pipework (not shown in photos).
We have removed and refitted the gearbox. We find on most of these ex-school M300s that they do not use the gearbox and over time the oil becomes thick like treacle and prevents the lower round knob from rotating. I see on a lot of M300s for sale that people will put a pair of grips onto this knob to try and turn it. Anyway, the only way around it is to remove the gearbox and throughly clean it, which we have done. We have then installed a new gasket.
We also put a new apron bellows on as the original often perishes making the apron leak oil.
Machine is fitted with the coolant pump with the spout but it is not shown in the photos as were waiting for a part to arrive (which we now have and is fitted)
Supplied with 3 jaw chuck with both internal and external set matched jaws.
4 jaw independent chuck
Faceplate
Drive plate
Centre reducing bush and pair of dead centres
live centre in tailstock
drill chuck for tailstock
QCTP with 6 tool holders (4 standard, 1 parting and 1 MT holder)
One thing to note on this machine is there is a small area of damage to the bed just under the chuck. It makes no difference to the accuracy of the machine as the damage is on the tailstock V-way and the tailstock is not able to come up that far. The saddle does not ride on that V-way.
