Union Graduate Variturn 230v Variable Speed Wood Lathe

Ostia Tools are proud to be able to offer for sale this Graduate Variturn wood lathe. 

This machine is based on the original Union Graduate lathe but has a larger swing (centre height to bed) which gives more capacity.

Originally supplied by Daltons Wadkin but I believe this may have come out of the LRE machinery works. 

The benefit of this machine is that it is variable speed and runs from a 230v single phase household electrics. This means it is ready to be plugged in and start turning. 

Supplied with drive stud and revolving centre for turning between centres. Also comes with a dual thread faceplate which can be used for turning on both sides. Comes with the original long and short tool rest fitted to the machine

Full working order and in fantastic condition throughout. Great paintwork, lovely clean bed, spindle threads, belt, bearings etc all in very clean condition. 

A brilliant and rare opportunity to purchase the later model of a machine that has stood the test of time and had 50+ years of improvements to an already solid design.
