We are based in East Manchester. Our closest motorway junction is Junction 23 on M60.

We are open from 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. We are shut on all bank holidays. However, due to the nature and layout of the warehouse, we ask that you make an appointment before coming to see us. Some days we are working away from the warehouse.

You can call the office, send an email or send a WhatsApp. We are very flexible but like to get any items you want to view into a position that they can be seen and ran under power

There is a tight turn from both ends of our street but we have regular HGV deliveries. There is a low bridge near our warehouse which has a height restriction of 4.4m 14’ 6” but otherwise good clean access.

We have a forklift on site and there is no cost to loading. We are happy to help with loading but we ask that you consider the suitability of the vehicle and the type of machine you are collection.
You are welcome to dismantle any of our machines to make loading easier.

We can demonstrate all our machines under power in our workshop.

Yes we have tested all the machines that we have for sale. Only when we have tested them to ensure that they are fully working do we list them for sale. If a machine is not working or there is a known issue with a machine, this would be explicitly mentioned within item description and if possible would also have an accompanying photo of the issue.

We purchase all our equipment from schools and colleges. Some items may come in from part exchange or a customer selling their machine back to us but the majority of equipment comes directly from schools.

Yes we can take machinery in part exchange. If you would like a quote for what we can offer for your machine in part exchange, please send us some photos & your location via email or WhatsApp and we can let you know what we can offer.

We cannot offer any electrical warranty for any 3 phase machine being run on a single phase supply with the use of a VFD or phase converter. We are happy to demonstrate the machine running on 3 phase in our workshop but phase converters & VFDs add another level of issues that make it difficult for us to provide warranty support.

We cannot ship small parcels worldwide. If you let us know where you are, we can get a quote for parcel delivery. For larger machinery and items on pallets, we are not able to ship outside of the UK but we can package these machines up if you are able to organise the shipment or used a freight company.

For small items under 15kg and within size limits for postal networks we use Evri, UPS or Fedex.
For larger items we use either pallet couriers, direct couriers or we deliver ourselves.

Ostia Tools would be willing to provide a quote for delivery ourselves but we have a small radius that we can offer delivery unless we are booked to work nearby.
