Boxford CUD MkII 4.5″ Metric Metal Screwcutting Centre Lathe 230v

Ostia Tools offer for sale this Boxford CUD Mk2 Lathe 

230v single phase. Runs from a normal household plug. It has a 3 phase motor but has been fitted with an inverter drive. 

The machine does not run in reverse, it is currently set up that the switch next to the on/off switch controls the speed. These inverters can be rewired for reverse.

Very clean machine throughout, it has been well looked after. 

We have fitted a new perspex guard and we are awaiting replacement bed wipers which will be fitted before dispatch.

Machine is supplied with a very good set of accessories:

3 jaw Taylor chuck 

4 jaw Burnerd Iron Body independent chuck

Travelling steady

Vertical milling slide attachment with the T-slot plate ( this does have a homemade base where it fits into the cross slide. It works absolutely fine but if an original comes up on ebay, I would suggest to get it just to make it as original as possible)

Pair of centres (the larger fits directly into the spindle taper so does not need a reducing bush)

Drive plate,
